Amazing

I have a whole lot of bloggin to do and a bunch of pictures to show you, but the internet died last night and right now i wanna go outside in the lovely Tokyo weather.
But, before i do so, i have to comment on this one thing.
This one, little, miraculous, awesome thing.
Yeah, you know the one.

I was in Kamakura while Allan got tattooed yesterday. More about that later.
I had been texting Martin about the election, but got no response.
In his defence, it was very early morning in Denmark and he was probably sleeping.
But i was dying to know.

And when i came back to the station to get on my train back to Yokohama and Allan, there it was.
The Asahi Shimbun extra edition. One page, both in english and japanese.

And when i opened it, i must admit, i started to shake and giggle a little.
It was just such an exciting moment.

Now, i know that all politicians are corrupt in some way.
But Obama winning is still a huge fucking deal.
A black, democratic president.
It's like a movie, like a dream.
He will probably not save the world, but he will change it, he already has.
Congratulations to everyone in the US who voted for him, and the ones who didn't too (you'll see, it's for the best).

But in the middle of all the good news, there's a sad one too:
California voted yes on Prop 8, changing the Californian constitution, so that it now states that marriage can only be between a man and a woman.
What are people so afraid of?
Seriously?

To quote a wise man:
"Gay people got a right to be as miserable as everybody else"
Chris Rock.
Nuff said.
