Etsy

I know it's stupid to set up an internet shop mere days before going to Japan for a month.
I know.
But if i didn't do it i would have spent the next month feeling guilty, so there, i had to!

Besides cleaning the apartment and walking Lucifer, i spent my sunday taking pictures for the etsy shop with my new old camera and they actually turned out pretty good.
So i started.

I only listed a few items, but i'll add more soon.
Just getting started feels really good.
I think i even found a way to beat the evil post danmark system, and ship the hats as big letters instead of packages, and save people money that way.

Figuring out a price was hard, cause i normally never look at other people's handmade hats.
It's a thing i learned from my husband; never look for inspiration and reference in your own field.
He never looks at other artists tattoo work when doing a tattoo design, and i don't look at hats for hat inspiration.
But to find out what to charge i had to look, and i must say, i think people are (mostly) selling their stuff way too cheap.
Making a hat takes a lot of time, the supplies are expensive and it's hell on the fingers.
But whatever, people can charge what they want to, i guess.

One of the pictures i took today
And another one
And one from the other day
If you wanna check out the etsy shop, the link is to your left <-----

  6. nice work on the shop!
i think you should charge what you feel is the right price, even if it is more than what others seem to charge. i dont think that you would try to take advantage of anyone, so i know its fair!
you have to pay for those poor little fingers to have some spa time!

  7. That's what i figured.
If i price them too low i'll get all bitter because of all the work i put into them.
And if they don't sell cause people think the price is too high, i'll just wear them myself!

Thanks again to all of you (and to the people who just lurk and don't comment as well!) for all the comments and support, it's very much appreciated!

  8. Hells yeah for billigt!

  10. Nix du. En milliard er en fair pris. Jeg vil gerne bestille to!
